We cannot say thank you enough to those who take the time to give us feedback on our performance. The following two reviews just came in and we couldn’t wait to share the good news.
This letter is from a satisfied Mother of the Bride who just held her daughter’s reception at The Phoenixville Foundry. We were so happy to be a part of their special day and we were humbled by this positive review.
“Just wanted to take the time to send out a big thank you for all you did to make Megan’s dreams come true. It was a pleasure working with you. The reception was a truly elegant affair! Megan’s every wish was granted. The supervisor, bartenders, and service staff were fitting of a queen. I’m sure that Chelsea Clinton could not have had it any better:) The food was absolutely incredible, and the raw bar was a big hit. Thanks for suggesting it. Your team worked like a well oiled machine. I just could not believe how efficient the operation was from beginning to end. However, the best part was the attitude of your staff. They weren’t just doing their jobs. They made everyone feel important and welcome.
I will certainly highly recommend J. Scott Catering to anyone I know in need of catering services.”
The following letter was received by a happy Bride and Groom who held their wedding at The Radnor Hunt. After having some issues that were out of everyone’s control – the event was a success!
“Jimmy and I would like to thank you for everything you did for us. There wasn’t a beat missed. And considering a power outage and downed trees everywhere, you would have never known!
The food was amazing from beginning to the end. I was even able to sit down and enjoy my dinner. I am still getting compliments! Amazing is all we can say about J. Scott Catering – just too good to be true!”
It was our pleasure! Thank you for your business and support and we hope to work with you again!

This past weekend was brutal – with temperatures above one hundred and the humidity percentages not far behind, it was an all around sweltering day. The heat most certainly did not bring down the spirits of the bride and groom as they were married at the beautiful home of the bride’s parents in Villanova.
The property was the perfect location for such an affair. The ceremony was held in the beautiful courtyard, the cocktail hour by the pool and the reception in a tent in the backyard. The bride and groom chose to have a mix of circle and square tables to mix up the design of the space. The theme of the wedding was a natural, earthy feel. With sage green napkins, ivory linens and crisp, white flowers the event was classy and modern without feeling overdone.

For cocktail hour, the guests were presented with: Mini Cheese Steaks w/ Whiz & Grilled Onions, California Rolls, Thai Smoked Chicken on a Wonton Crisp, Mini Caesar Salad in Parmesan Tuile Basket, Watermelon Pomegranate Shooters and Apple & Brie Phyllo Cups.

To battle the heat, the guests were served a chilled entrée of Lime Tequila Grilled Chicken Breast with a Tomatilla Avocado Salsa, Green Beans with Red & Yellow Pepper Confetti and a Summer Salad of Steamed Red Bliss Potatoes tossed in light, red wine vinaigrette spiked with sun dried tomatoes.

We wish nothing but the best for the newlyweds – especially a cool honeymoon!

We love a happy wedding with great company, excellent music and delicious food. We were recently honored to see a bride and
groom come together to exchange their vows in the backyard of their gorgeous country home. They chose to have a variety of food stations to keep the guests mingling throughout the reception. Their station selections included salad, carved tenderloin and kebobs.
The salad was a light summer salad of fresh mozzarella and candied pecans over fresh mixed field greens. The salad station also offered fresh assorted rolls with whipped butter.
Kebobs are a fun, summery way to display food that is still easy to pick up and enjoy while socializing. Kebobs can give you multiple options for ingredients while offering something for everyone.
A carving station offers the opportunity for guests to be served the amount they think is appropriate, when they are ready. This station also serves the sides to accompany the main course. The bride and groom chose asparagus tips and roasted red bliss potatoes.
Stations can bring a more relaxed feel and pace to an event while still providing a lavish display to impress your guests. These stations captured the exact feel that the bride and groom were aiming for.
Best of luck to the new husband and wife!

It’s always nice to meet a bride and groom who know exactly what they like and are quick to make decisions. We recently had the
pleasure of treating a future bride and groom to their reception menu. The bride was more than prepared, and deep into planning with her big day more than a year away. We love long lead times!
The betrothed began by sampling their passed hors d’oeuvres – a delicious variety of traditional and delicious appetizers. The tasting included Classic Bruschetta, Chicken Satay with a Spicy Peanut Sauce, Teriyaki Beef Skewers and Shrimp Spring Rolls.
The bride chose a traditional salad that would appeal to everyone – a tossed garden salad with cucumber, tomatoes and red onions topped with balsamic vinaigrette. We served the salad with freshly baked rolls and whipped butter.
For dinner, the couple chose a hearty meal of seared beef tenderloin au poivre with garlic smashed potatoes, sautéed green beans with almonds and brown butter accented with a shitake mushroom. They appeared to enjoy every plate from beginning to end, which helped make their decisions even easier.
Tastings are just a part of our relationships with our brides and grooms. We look forward to the upcoming year and our continued work with this happy couple.
